The Legend

As you can see we have been here for a very long time. Since Home Erectus Niteman we have been always in a high position of our community. Allthough the hotels back then were mostly like caves but still we were checking people in and out all the time. We were those who sat by the fireplace and kept the wild animals away.

After the ancient times during all the great wars we nitemen were always up in the night looking out for enemies. And don`t get me wrong it was a very important task and besides somebody`s got to do it. When the niteman fell asleep the consequences were mostly disastrous.

In the hippie-era, the times of love, peace and happiness, in the 1960`s nitemen had also a great task in front of them.Somebody had to look out for the tent and the bonfire and if they didn`t they just might end up like that young couple in the picture above...

As you can see we nitemen have played a very important role throughout the history of times. And I doubt if there weren´t for us the world would be a different place to live. But still our legacy remains.

So let`s take a look what the future might bring us. In 20 to 30 years from now we might be replaced by robots who can keep smiling and being polite all the time. And the main thing is it never has to sleep...at all.

Or another choice are more human like cyborgs... Those can surely be the new breed of nitemen of the future.
